OUR MISSION
Our mission is to inform, inspire, and empower through a student-led podcast that explores global and local issues with a focus on UNESCO initiatives.
Created by passionate grade school students, we amplify young voices to promote equity, social justice, environmental awareness, and sustainability. Through thoughtful dialogue and a strong call to action, we aim to spark meaningful conversations and encourage our listeners to engage with the world’s most pressing challenges—one episode at a time.
OUR VISION
WE ENVISION A WORLD WHERE YOUTH VOICES ARE VALUED AND EMPOWERED TO MAKE CHANGE.
Through open dialogue and informed action, we aspire to build
a more just, equitable, and sustainable future—fueled by curiosity, compassion, and the courage to make a difference.
OUR VALUES
Why do we do
what we do?
Chief Design Officer
"I'm a Christian girl with a deep passion for art and expressing myself through faith."
I was born and raised in Airdrie. I have two younger siblings, though It worries me how social media is the only thing that has shaped their views more than real-life experiences. Like, tell me why my sister scrolls through Instagram reels more than she actually focuses on what's happening right in front of her?!
A cause I focus on is drug abuse and how normalized it has been towards youth, and especially teens.
I'd like to become a kindergarten teacher because I love working with kids and creating a fun, positive space for them to learn and grow. Teaching feels so meaningful to me because I want to encourage curiosity, kindness, and independent thinking.
I have two sugar gliders. Boba and Chai. They're really dear to me and are just the cutest little creatures. Taking care of them has taught me a lot about patience and responsibility.
I really care about discussing important issues, especially those that affect the future of our kids and teens. I truly believe that raising awareness and having open conversations can make a real difference.
Executive Operations Director
"I believe that this generation will be the one to shape the world into our vision."
I was born and raised in this community which I'm supporting through volunteering various places, raising funds for STARS, babysitting, and a couple of other little things like that.
I am passionate about music, baking, volleyball and most importantly the well-being of today's youth such as ourselves.
In the future, I hope to find myself working in the medical field, and my Christian faith inspires my efforts to serve others.
The causes I focus most on are Animal Rights, Environmental Sustainability and drug and alcohol abuse.
I love how this group works together, and I love the energy and collaboration, and the whole dynamic in general, I think podcasting is a great way to spread information and express myself. (And sometimes rant meaninglessly.)
"I love seeing people express their personality through creativity."
I was born in California and adopted into a Christian family when I was two years old. We later moved to Canada, where I grew up.
I’m passionate about the things that matter to me, especially sharing the word of God with anyone open to hearing it.
I love seeing people express their personality through creativity. For me, that’s music. I compose my pieces on the piano to capture both the struggles and joys I experience each month.
I think it's important to talk about discrimination because people in this day and age don't see that, or turn a blind eye. So you have to bring it out and tell them and how rude it is.
"I believe we can make a real impact on the world, and I want to be part of that change."
I was born in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and joined UNiFY because I want to help change the future to benefit the next generation.
A bit about me. I’m aiming to become a lifeguard before pursuing a career as a lawyer and make lots of mistakes . My goal is to provide justice and help others. Being a lifeguard first is a way for me to make a difference in people’s lives while developing skills that will serve me in my future career.
Aside from my career ambitions, I also have a deep passion for playing the trombone. Music has always been a big part of my life, and playing the trombone gives me a creative outlet to express myself. It’s something I really enjoy, and I feel it complements my goals in ways I didn’t expect.I
’m excited to be part of this club and work towards making a positive difference in the world!
"I am proud to help spread awareness for all of the problems that we as youth have the power to change."
I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and am now contributing to the world from Airdrie, Alberta.
I volunteer and work at boys and girls Club and work as a self-employed babysitter. I am also part of my school student council, debate club, and UNIFY (obviously).
I am passionate about poetry, volleyball, track and science. II also find joy in the saxophone and piano.
I hope to work in women's health as an adult, and contribute to it in the meantime in any way I can- one of which is definitely being part of UNIFY.
I am part of Calgary's Middle Path Meditation Center as I am a buddhist. Practicing meditation has helped me find my true callings and one of those is definitely working towards the end of period poverty.
